Welcome to Clara’s Secret Shepherds Foundation
Foundation News Update
For the sixth year in a row, Clara’s Secret Shepherds Foundation is committed to fulfilling the holiday wishlists for 100 children currently served by the child welfare system in Palm Beach County. Every year since 2011, we have done whatever we can to give back and help children in our community. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and who participates in the fundraising efforts. Thanks for being anonymous shepherds and for giving gifts that will eventually return to all of us!
Honor the memory of a little girl named Clara Eagan Zabriski who liked to help people.
Expand her family’s annual tradition of purchasing Christmas gifts for local needy children using funds raised via the efforts of Clara’s Secret Shepherds Foundation. All children served are screened by local child welfare agencies. Every year, this Foundation raises enough money to cover the costs of Christmas presents for 75 to 100 children.
Extend the Foundation’s reach in 2016-2017 to include other non-essential services that will enrich local foster children’s lives. This year, we are sponsoring the costs associated with three high school students whose foster or group home caregivers can’t afford to purchase senior memories such as yearbooks and senior class photos. Clara’s Secret Shepherds Foundation hopes to expand the scope of this program every year.
Educate the public about the hundreds of children in South Florida – and the thousands across the country – who are foster children and are living in limbo waiting to be reunited with their relatives or be adopted by non-biological “forever families.”
